Applications

Pay attention to application deadlines and "early decision."  If you have your heart on a college, and would forego other choices, early decision is a possibility. There is also a choice called early action, which is not as restrictive.  Pay attention to the school sites to find if this applies.
Seek help on application questions and have people edit your responses.
Get applications in to safe choices and reach schools.  Send in FAFSA and find out what your contribution will be.  Apply for scholarships and get as much on the table as possible, so you can make your best choice.

Take advantage of the common application.
